Celebrate Fall with Polka Dots and Cake
It’s been a little while since we’ve updated this corner of the world. We’ve been dreaming, scheming, and building behind the scenes, but I’ve missed this space. We’ve been expanding our team recently and look forward to updating our community here monthly.
What better way to mark a new season than with cake?
Last Sunday, I baked a Pumpkin Spice cake to celebrate the season with our team, which you can see on Instagram or TikTok.
I adapted the recipe from this Pumpkin Spice Buttermilk Bundt Cake by Kitchen Confidante. We like things spicy over here, so I put my own spin on it by adding black pepper, ginger, and garam masala. It turned out so good and made it truly feel like fall, even though it’s still 90° most days here in El Paso.
And speaking of joy: polka dots.
We recently asked our community what you wanted to see next, and hundreds of you chimed in. The verdict? Big and bold polka dots. So that’s exactly what we made: a small run of embroidered polka dot totes, which are now available on our website:
This limited release was created in collaboration with our partner workshop, a woman-owned sewing space in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico.
